How does Dough work?
Describe the occasion, and Dough creates a personalized animated e-card with an AI-generated message. You set the gift amount and pay a flat $3 card fee. Share the link with your recipient — when they open it and choose their preferred payment app (Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or Apple Cash), you'll get notified so you can send them the money directly.
What does it cost?
A flat $3 per card. That's it. The gift amount you promise is paid directly to the recipient through their preferred payment app — Dough doesn't touch it.
How does the recipient get paid?
After they open your card and tap "Make it Rain," they choose their preferred payment app (Venmo, Zelle, Cash App, or Apple Cash) and enter their handle. We notify you with their details so you can send the money directly.
How do I know when to pay?
You'll get an email as soon as your recipient chooses their payment app. You can also check your Dough dashboard at any time to see the status of all your gifts.
Can I see a preview before sharing?
Yes. After paying the $3 card fee, you'll see a preview of the card and the "Make it Rain" moment. You can share the link from there.
Can I edit the AI-generated message?
Absolutely. After the message is generated, you'll see a pencil icon to edit it directly, and a refresh icon to have the AI try again. The message is yours to tweak.
Is the $3 fee refundable?
No — the $3 card fee is non-refundable once the card is created. The actual gift payment is between you and the recipient.
What if I don't pay the recipient?
That's between you and them. Dough facilitates the card and the connection, but the gift payment is a direct peer-to-peer transfer. We trust you'll follow through.
Is my data private?
Yes. We don't sell your data. Gift messages are processed by AI to generate personalized content but are not used for advertising. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What browsers and devices are supported?
Dough works on all modern browsers on mobile and desktop. Apple Pay is available in Safari on iPhone/Mac. Google Pay is available in Chrome.
